Customer Specified Materials Clause Samples
The 'Customer Specified Materials' clause defines the responsibilities and procedures when a customer requires the use of particular materials in the production or delivery of goods or services. Typically, this clause outlines how the customer must provide these materials, the standards they must meet, and the supplier's obligations regarding their use, storage, or return. For example, it may specify that the supplier is not liable for defects arising from customer-supplied materials. The core function of this clause is to allocate risk and clarify accountability when materials are provided by the customer, thereby preventing disputes over quality or suitability.
