Common use of Customer Protections Clause in Contracts

Customer Protections. The services provided under this Agreement are governed by the terms of this Agreement and in the case of residential customers only, by the requirements of the New York Home Energy Fair Practices Act (“HEFPA”). The Provider will notify the Customer at least fifteen (15) days prior to the cancellation of service. In the event of non-payment of any charges owed to the Provider, the Customer may be subject to termination of service and the suspension of service under procedures approved by the New York Department of Public Service (“DPS”).
