Curriculum Writing. Members of the bargaining unit shall be paid for writing curriculum units or guides, courses of study, etc. The administrator shall confer with the teacher to determine the hours needed. Payment shall be at the rate set forth in section Paragraph “N” Rates of Pay, above, when performed outside of normal work hours. It is understood by the Union and the Administration that the teacher(s) involved in the curriculum writing process will submit written drafts for feedback by the Administration. Feedback shall determine if the project shall continue.
Curriculum Writing. 1. Teachers requested by the Administration to assist in writing curriculum guides, or courses of study, the selection of textbooks and the development of testing, will be compensated for work performed outside the normal teacher work day or work year. Such compensation will be at an hourly rate of seventy-eight percent (78%) of the hourly rate of a BA-0 teacher on the salary schedule not to exceed the number of hours specified in the teacher’s contract, as approved by the Board for the project. The administrator responsible for the project shall approve the type of work to be performed outside the normal work day or work year, estimate the number of hours to be worked and the work site prior to any such work being performed.
Curriculum Writing. The district will make every effort to assign curriculum development and writing time outside the normal school day. Teachers involved shall be paid at the rate contained in Appendix B, Article 5-1.

Curriculum Writing. Employees who write curriculum at the request and direction of the Employer shall be compensated at the rate of $30.00 per hour.
Curriculum Writing. The Superintendent or designee will schedule teachers to prepare for the writing exercise or to engage in the writing activity. Teachers who are assigned by the Director of Curriculum to create assessments, write curricular units, or engage in collaborative planning shall be compensated. The timeframe for this work will be collaboratively agreed upon between the teacher and the Superintendent/designee. Teachers will be compensated at twenty-five ($25.00) per hour for such curriculum-related activities.
Curriculum Writing. Teachers serving on a committee-writing curriculum will be paid $200.00 per person to a maximum of five people per curricular area. No more than two curricular areas will be addressed per fiscal year. School Improvement chairperson shall receive $200.
