CPUC Certification Clause Samples
The CPUC Certification clause requires that a party obtain and maintain certification or approval from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) as a condition for performing certain activities or providing specific services under the agreement. In practice, this means the party must demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards set by the CPUC, such as safety, reliability, or financial responsibility, before commencing operations or continuing service delivery. This clause ensures that all parties involved meet necessary regulatory requirements, thereby protecting public interests and ensuring lawful operation within California's regulated utilities sector.
