Common use of Covered Equipment Clause in Contracts

Covered Equipment. 1. The insurance provided applies to any laptop issued to your child by RiversideUnified School District, whether it is the originally issued laptop, a loaner, or a replacement. 2. The deductible is the same, whether the machine is the original, a loaner, or a replacement laptop. For example, if your child has been issued a laptop loaner and breaks the laptop loaner, there will be a $50 deductible due for the breakage of the laptop loaner. 3. There will not be an additional fee for the use of a laptop loaner. Your child’s yearly $50 fee covers the original laptop, and any other laptops that are issued to your child for the current school year. 4. The data contained on the laptop is not covered. There is no provision for the time or cost needed to replicate any missing data. 5. Laptop chargers that are damaged or broken are not included in the insurance coverage and will be replaced at a cost of $50 for each occurrence. If a charger tip breaks off inside the laptop and cannot be removed, there will be a $50 deductibleto cover the repair of the laptop. The deductible amount will not cover the $50replacement cost of a new adapter.
