The purchase of corporate bonds may include bonds, notes, debentures and other evidences of indebtedness issued, assumed or guaranteed by a corporation incorporated under the laws of the United States of America, or of any state, district or territorial possession thereof; or of the Dominion of Canada or any province thereof, provided that the bonds are rated class 1 or 2 by the Securities Valuation Office of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
