Conventional Systems. 1. The use of spiral conduit and flexible hose is not permitted in a conventional system, with the exception of when spiral conduit is used to a single outlet as a sub-branch off the main rectangular duct on low pressure systems.
2. The use of flexible hose is permitted to connect to any air delivery device which is supported by the ceiling up to a maximum of ten feet (10’).
Conventional Systems. 1. The use of conduit and/or spiral pipe is not permitted in a conventional system.
2. The use of flexible hose is not permitted on a conventional system except as follows:
(a) Where a special type of outlet requiring an “in between” connection is used on a system, the connection to the diffuser may be made by using five (5) feet maximum length.
3. The use of flexible hose will be permitted in accordance with the following:
(a) Where the pressure-reducing device is an “octopus” type of box 5'-0" maximum length of flexible hose may be used on the inlet side of the box. In addition, a 5'-0" maximum length of flexible hose may be used from the box outlet. Flexible hose is not to replace a shop fabricated fitting at the outlet. Flex will be limited to 5'-0" expanded on all systems and will be continuous and no pipefittings to be used between flex sections. Runoffs will consist of conventional pipe and fittings to point no more than 5'-0" from the outlet.

(a) The Employer shall pay to the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #17 Insurance Fund thirteen dollars and fifty cents ($13.50) per hour for each hour worked by each employee covered by this Agreement. The amount may be amended from time to time by vote of the membership.
(b) The Employer shall pay to the Sheet Metal Workers National Pension Fund the amount set forth hereinafter: twelve dollars and seventy-cents ($12.70) effective June 1, 2017.
(c) The Employer shall pay to the Sheet Metal Workers Local #17 Annuity Fund five dollars and seventeen cents ($5.17) per hour for all hours used in travel or work between eight (8) a.m. to four-thirty (4:30) p.m. (With one half hour for lunch) by journeymen sheet metal Workers and shall pay to each fund the required amounts per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Failure to contribute to the funds shall be a violation of contract.
(d) The Employer shall pay to the Sheet Metal Workers Local #17 Labor Management Cooperation Trust (Equality Fund) two dollars ($2.00) per hour for each hour worked by each employee covered by this Agreement.
(e) Apprentice sheet metal workers shall be contributed for as described above and in Section 6 of Article XI.
