Common use of Controlled Production Clause in Contracts

Controlled Production. Qwest and CLEC will perform controlled production. The controlled production process is designed to validate the ability of CLEC to transmit EDI data that completely meets X12 standards definitions and complies with all Qwest business rules. Controlled production consists of the controlled submission of actual CLEC production requests to the Qwest production environment. Qwest treats these pre-order queries and orders as production pre-order and order transactions. Qwest and CLEC use controlled production results to determine operational readiness. Controlled production requires the use of valid account and order data. All certification orders are considered to be live orders and will be provisioned.

Controlled production consists of the controlled submission of actual CLEC production requests to the Qwest production environment. Qwest treats these pre-order queries and orders as production pre-order and order transactions. Qwest and CLEC use controlled production results to determine operational readiness. Controlled production requires the use of valid account and order data. All certification orders are considered to be live orders and will be provisioned. Controlled production is not required for recertification, unless the Parties agree otherwise.107 Recertification does not include new implementations such as new products and/or activity types.
