Contributed Capital. The authorised capital of the Authority is $100 million; with The Cayman Islands Government being the sole subscriber. In 1998, the Government made a commitment to increase the Contributed Capital of the Authority to a minimum of $10 million by yearly transfers of approximately $0.5 million from Operating ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇ December 2009, Section 7 (5) of the Monetary Authority Law (2008 Revision) was amended by the Monetary Authority (Amendment Law, 2009), to allow Cabinet to vary the amount of paid-up capital held by the Authority, and where the capital is reduced any excess shall be transferred by the Authority to the Government. In June 2010 the Cayman Islands Government withdrew $8.25 million, leaving Contributed Capital at $1.939 million at 30 June 2010 (2009: $10 million).
