Contractor’s Safety Plan Clause Samples

The Contractor’s Safety Plan clause requires the contractor to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive safety plan for all work performed under the contract. This typically involves identifying potential hazards, outlining safety procedures, and ensuring that all personnel are trained and equipped to follow these protocols. The clause applies to all aspects of the contractor’s operations on the project site, such as equipment use, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response. Its core function is to promote a safe working environment, reduce the risk of accidents, and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations.
Contractor’s Safety Plan. Contractor shall have overall responsibility and liability for Site, Project, and Work safety. Contractor shall develop, implement, and supervise all safety measures and programs at the Site and in connection with the Work, shall implement the safety and fire prevention program set forth in the Construction Plan, and shall require all Subcontractors and other Persons performing Work to conform to the same. Contractor shall review and recommend appropriate changes to, but shall not have direct control over, each Subcontractor’s safety program. As such, Contractor’s review and recommendations shall not relieve Subcontractors of their responsibility for the safety of persons and property, and for compliance with all Applicable Laws.
Contractor’s Safety Plan. This subclause 44.5 only applies if Item 34 provides that the Contractor is required to prepare a Contractor's Safety Plan. The Contractor must: (a) prepare a Contractor's Safety Plan for the WUC; and (b) obtain the Superintendent's approval of the Contractor's Safety Plan in accordance with subclause 8.3; and
Contractor’s Safety Plan. A. Prior to commencement of any Work on the Project site, Contractor shall deliver to Owner for review a written safety plan for the Project (“Safety Plan”) that will provide a safe environment for all workers, and which complies with, but is not limited to, the following guidelines. The Contractor is responsible for reviewing the specific requirements of the Contract, analyzing the planned methods of operation, and incorporating any additional specific or unique safety requirements in the written plan. The Contractor is solely responsible for ensuring that all applicable safety regulations are addressed as part of the Safety Plan. Prior to the commencement of any Work on the Project site (i) the Safety Plan must have been received and reviewed by Owner, and (ii) the Safety Plan must be in place and fully operational. B. General Provisions -- The Safety Plan shall include, but not be limited to, the following elements: 1. evacuation plans as may be required; 2. emergency response procedures; 3. identification of the Contractor’s safety representative and all other designated individuals responsible for administering the Safety Plan;
