CONTRACT OR TASK ORDER MODIFICATIONS. The Contracting Officer may issue unilateral contract modifications with reference of revised price proposals submitted by the Contractor responding to the need to change the requirements of a contract or task order that may affect pricing (such as staffing, labor categories, labor mix, level of effort, etc.), as a result of negotiations, indicating the Contracting Officer’s acceptance of the Contractor’s revised price proposal. As a matter of practice, contract or task order ceiling amount will not be increased, unless at the end of the contract, the Contracting Officer deems it is necessary and in the best interest of the government to do so.
