CONTRACT OPERATOR. 1. Where a number of corporations enters into a contract with the Joint Authority, the corporations shall appoint and authorize one of their number to be the contract operator responsible, on behalf of the group of corporations, for petroleum operations and all dealings with the Joint Authority under the contract. 2. The contract operator shall undertake petroleum operations in an efficient manner which minimizes costs and in a manner in accordance with the provisions of the production sharing contract. Costs incurred by the contract operator in undertaking petroleum operations shall not include any component of profit which accrues to the contract operator solely by virtue of its role as contract operator. 3. All communications on matters related to the contract shall be effected between the contract operator and the Joint Authority. The contract operator shall establish an office in either the Republic of Indonesia or Australia.

CONTRACT OPERATOR. Any contract entered into by FDOT with a Contract Operator shall provide that it expires upon the expiration of the FDOT Funding Period Locally Funded Agreement unless the contract is assigned to the Commission pursuant to an assignment that effects a novation and releases the FDOT from being a party to the contract, in which case, the contract will continue for a period of three years following the expiration of the FDOT Funding Period Locally Funded Agreement. Such contract shall provide that it can be assigned to the Commission.

CONTRACT OPERATOR. The CMRTA will continue the procurement process currently underway relating to the services of a third party contract operator. The CMRTA shall take all reasonable and necessary actions to have a new contract with a third party contract contractor to be effective by April 1, 2014.
