Continuing Sessional Standing Program Clause Samples

The Continuing Sessional Standing Program clause establishes the criteria and procedures for sessional (part-time or contract) academic staff to maintain their employment status across academic terms. Typically, this clause outlines the performance standards, teaching load requirements, and evaluation processes that sessional instructors must meet to remain eligible for future teaching assignments. By clearly defining these expectations, the clause ensures transparency and consistency in the reappointment process, helping both the institution and sessional staff understand the conditions for ongoing employment and reducing uncertainty regarding contract renewals.
