Common use of Consumer Statements Clause in Contracts

Consumer Statements. Watch for consumer statements in the credit bureaus indicating the consumers have been a victim of fraud. Verify that the applicant is the legitimate consumer and not the perpetrator of fraud. Some consumers will place a statement at the end of their credit bureau requesting that any potential creditor call them and verify that they have in fact applied for credit. This must be done in every instance.
