The Construction Documents Review clause establishes the process by which construction documents, such as drawings and specifications, are examined and approved before work begins. Construction Documents Review. 5.4.1 After the Contracting Authority and Owner have had a reasonable period to review the provisional Construction Documents, the Contracting Authority, Owner, and A/E shall meet to discuss the provisional Construction Documents and reach agreement on any Contracting Authority-authorized adjustments to the Approved Program of Requirements, Project Schedule, or Construction Budget and any necessary clarifications of the Construction Documents.
5.4.2 Unless the Contracting Authority agrees otherwise in writing, within 5 business days after the review meeting, the A/E shall revise the Construction Documents to reflect the adjustments and clarifications agreed upon in the review meeting, and resubmit those documents to the Owner, and Contracting Authority.
5.4.3 When the Contracting Authority and Owner approve the revised Construction Documents and sign the related Design Review Acceptance form, the revised Construction Documents shall become the final Construction Documents, subject to (1) execution of an appropriate Modification to incorporate the adjustments into the Contract and (2) further revisions as provided in the General Conditions.
Construction Documents Review. Construction Drawings and Specifications, or other Construction Documents submitted by the A/E to HISD and the PM for approval, or to any contractors for bidding or negotiation, shall be prepared in conformance to the usual and customary professional standard of care to the end that they adequately describe and specify the project to be built, to a contractor who will be selected to build the project, and comply with all applicable codes, ordinances, statutes, regulations and laws, except to the extent expressly and specifically otherwise stated in detail in writing by the A/E at the time of such submission. In addition, the A/E shall certify that the A/E has informed HISD of any tests, studies, analyses or reports that are necessary or advisable to be performed by or for HISD at that point in time. The A/E shall submit to the PM and HISD for review and approval check sets of Construction Documents when these Documents are 60% and 100% complete. The 60% and 100% check sets of Construction Documents must be approved in writing by PM and HISD.
Construction Documents Review. 2.4.1 The Professional is required, in accordance with the schedule requirements, to provide Construction Documents and other information.
2.4.2 The Construction Manager shall, in accordance with schedule requirements, review applicable Construction Schedule(s), the estimate of Total Project Construction Cost, the cost of local utilities, fees for permits and licenses, any modifications necessitated by local conditions, other information necessary for a full understanding of the Project, and the Construction Documents. The Construction Manager shall:
(i) Examine the Construction Documents for clarity, adequacy of detail, consistency, accuracy and completeness;
(ii) Identify all discovered conflicts, omissions or overlaps in the proposed divisions of the Work, evaluate the completeness of intended bid categories, and identify unusual design details affecting construction cost and schedules;
(iii) Apply established value engineering principles and practices to reduce the cost of the Project;
(iv) Identify factors with the potential to impact the Construction Schedule such as materials with long lead time, the unavailability of required labor, and other factors and make suggestions for acceptable alternatives;
(v) Evaluate and make suggestions to optimize Site utilization;
(vi) Recommend proposed modifications or alternatives to the Construction Documents based on evaluation and review;
(vii) Notify the Owner and the Professional(s) in writing of any variances between the Construction Documents and applicable laws, statutes, building codes, rules and regulations of which it is aware; and
(viii) Notify the Owner and the Professional(s) in writing of all problems, conflicts, defects or deficiencies in the Construction Documents of which it is aware.
2.4.3 The Construction Manager shall, in accordance with schedule requirements, assist the Professional with the resolution of all problems, conflicts, defects or deficiencies identified during the review and evaluation of the Construction Documents.
2.4.4 Upon completion of the review and examination of the Construction Documents, the Professional is required, in accordance with schedule requirements, to prepare and submit a final estimate of Total Project Construction Cost.
2.4.5 Upon completion of the examination of the review Construction Documents, the Construction Manager, in accordance with schedule requirements, shall prepare and submit a final estimate of Total Project Construction Cost.

Construction Documents Review. Design-Builder shall examine Construction Documents (including Component Construction Documents) as they are being prepared and shall furnish prompt and timely up-dated feed-back to same with regard to constructability, maintainability, scheduling, cost, permitting, and value-driven potential substitutions of materials, systems, and assemblies and other value- engineering options.
Construction Documents Review. 2.1.1 Prior to submittal of its bid, the General Contractor shall have reviewed the Construction Documents for clarity, adequacy of detail, consistency, accuracy and completeness to identify:
(i) conflicts, omissions or overlaps, and unusual design details affecting construction cost and schedules;
(ii) notify the Owner and the Professional in writing of any variances between the Construction Documents and applicable laws, statutes, building codes, rules and regulations of which it is aware; and
