Concurrent appointments. 13.5.1 A continuing and fixed term employee may also be employed on a casual basis where such casual employment has duties distinct from their substantive position and is not being used as an alternative to any of the following:  making additional continuing or fractional fixed term appointments;  paying overtime to existing employees;  extending the working hours of fractional employees. 13.5.2 An additional appointment must not constitute more than an employee’s full time equivalent role when combined with the employee’s substantive position.
