Conceptual Design Alternatives. Diagram Design Alternatives for extended project site depicting key streetscape design strategies. • Visualize examples of streetscape design showing integration of ideas from Lincolnway. 3d models and eye-level perspective sketches will show integration in key areas.
Conceptual Design Alternatives. ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ will revise the conceptual design for the intersection improvements at the intersection of Hillsboro Street and Salisbury Street and the additional limits noted above. The proposed roadway improvements will be added to the plans and carried through the necessary submittals following their inclusion. The effort for this task includes conceptual design plans. The Conceptual Design submittal will include an revised preliminary Engineer’s Opinion of Construction Cost (OPCC). KHA will have up to two (2) staff members attend a final Conceptual Design Review Meeting to discuss NCDOT and the Town’s comments. 60% Streetscape Design Plans: ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ will update the streetscape plans including hardscape plans and site furnishings, landscape plans, and fine grading plans for the multiple areas noted above. The proposed streetscape plans and improvements will be added to the plans and carried through the necessary submittals following their inclusion. The effort for this task includes initial preliminary and final design plans, bid documents, quantities for estimates, and coordination with other disciplines. 60% Draft Lighting & Electrical Design: ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ will prepare lighting and electrical plans to support the proposed streetscape improvements in the project area. The electrical improvements consist of a new conduit system to support existing streetlights and ground mounted receptacles used to power decorative string lights. ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ will prepare electrical plans for the receptacles per the Town and NEC standards and will include the use of NCDOT standard service cabinet and conduit system equipment. ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ will coordinate with Duke Energy to obtain service locations for the proposed electrical equipment. The electrical design for the proposed accent lighting and receptacle systems will be based on the following assumptions: • The design will incorporate the relocation of existing lighting fixtures that are maintained by Duke Energy. • ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ will coordinate with Duke Energy for the installation of any new services required for the proposed equipment. • A maximum of 12 receptacles for string lighting will be strategically placed near trees with in-use covers. • All circuit conductors shall be placed in conduit with a junction box placed adjacent to each fixture. The 60% Lighting and Electrical design will consist of the following elements developed by ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ to be incorporated into the broader set of plan sheets and specifications ...
Conceptual Design Alternatives. With input from stakeholders, participants during Engagement Window #1, and online feedback, the Design Team will develop conceptual site plan alternatives to be presented to the City and during Engagement Window #2. These alternatives will clearly illustrate unique qualities of each alternative and a comparative analysis that addresses opportunities/ benefits, challenges/constraints, and preliminary opinion of probable costs. The alternatives will include, but are not limited to the following elements: • New and/or renovated recreational and government facilities and amenities to meet identified needs • Site planning for locating new facilities, amenities, and landscape features • Space and capacity needs for new and/or renovated facilities • Connectivity plan for vehicle, pedestrian, bicycle, and transit access • Preliminary opinion of probable costs
1. Two Draft Conceptual Plans for the 56 Acres Park Master Plan including preliminary opinion of probable costs and comparative analysis of each alternative
2. Presentation materials – including imagery representing potential improvements
