Compressor Inlet Temperature. Compressor inlet temperature (also referred to as “ambient temperature” by the facility) is measured with two 1/8-inch diameter sheathed K-type thermocouples located in the inlet air duct. These devices are calibrated on a semi-annual basis using a calibrated thermowell device.
