Component Change Order or CCO Clause Samples

A Component Change Order (CCO) clause defines the process for making modifications to specific components or elements of a project after the original agreement has been executed. Typically, this clause outlines the procedures for requesting, approving, and documenting changes, including any adjustments to cost, schedule, or scope that result from the change. For example, if a contractor needs to substitute a specified material or alter a design detail, the CCO clause governs how such changes are proposed and agreed upon. Its core function is to provide a structured and transparent method for managing changes, thereby minimizing disputes and ensuring that all parties are aware of and consent to any alterations in the project's components.
