The "Compliance with Other Code Sets" clause requires parties to adhere to additional coding standards or classification systems beyond those explicitly mentioned in the agreement. In practice, this may mean that services, products, or data must be compatible with or formatted according to recognized industry codes, such as medical billing codes or product classification systems. Compliance with Other Code Sets a. A Health Plan System that is required to or otherwise contains the applicable data type shall conform to the following non-HIPAA-based standard code sets:
(1) As described in all AHCA Medicaid Reimbursement Handbooks, for all "Covered Entities", as defined under HIPAA, and which submit transactions in paper format (non-electronic format).
(2) As described in all AHCA Medicaid Reimbursement Handbooks for all "Non-covered Entities", as defined under HIPAA.
