Common use of Competitive Range Determination Clause in Contracts

Competitive Range Determination. The Offeror is reminded that the Government reserves the right to award this effort based on the initial proposal, as received, without discussion or establishment of a competitive range. In the event a competitive range is established and the KO determines that the number of proposals that would otherwise be in the competitive range exceeds the number at which an efficient competition can be conducted, the KO may limit the number of proposals in the competitive range to the greatest number that will permit an efficient competition. In accordance with FAR Part 15.306(c) (2), Offerors are advised that the competitive range may be further reduced for purposes of efficiency.
