Common use of Compensation for Course Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Course. 11.6.1 When a course(s) to be taught by an adjunct professor is canceled twenty- five (25) days or fewer before the first class meeting in the Fall semester or fourteen (14) days or fewer before the first class meeting in the Spring semester, or seven (7) days or fewer before the first class meeting in the Summer term, the University shall pay the adjunct professor assigned to teach such a course(s) ten percent (10%) of the stipulated salary that individual was to be paid for such course(s) as compensatory salary.

If a course is cancelled more than forty-five (45) days before the first class meeting, no compensatory salary is owed to the adjunct professor.
