Compacting Sample Clauses

Compacting. Compact each layer full width. Roll from the sides to the center, parallel to the centerline of the road. Along curbs, headers, walls, and all places not accessible to the roller, compact the material with approved tampers or compactors. Compact the aggregate using one of the following methods as specified:

Compacting. 8. Grading. 9. Riprapping. 10. Topsoiling. 11. All related items necessary to complete the Work indicated or specified.
Compacting. Concrete test cubes shall be moulded by placing fresh concrete in the mould and compacted as specified in IS.516.
Compacting. Delete the subsection and add the following: Compact backfill using designated compaction method A, B, or C: Method A. Ensure that backfill density exceeds the density of the surrounding embankment. Method B. Adjust the moisture content of the backfill material to a moisture content suitable for compaction. Compact each layer using appropriate compaction equipment until visual displacement ceases. For compaction under sections 252, 254, 255, 257, 258 and 262 compact with a vibratory steel wheeled roller with a mass of at least 8 tons. Method C. Determine optimum moisture content and maximum density according to AASHTO T 99 method C. Adjust the moisture content of the backfill material to a moisture content suitable for compaction. Compact material placed in all layers to at least 95 percent of the maximum density. Determine the in place density and moisture content according to AASHTO T 310 or other approved test procedures. Table 209-1 Sampling and Testing Requirements Add the following:
Compacting. THE HEADING AND FIRST PARAGRAPH UNDER SUBPART (1) ARE CHANGED TO:
Compacting. Compact the embankment using one of the following methods as specified.
Compacting. Delete and replace with the following: Compact each layer full width. Roll from the sides to the center, parallel to the centerline of the road. Along curbs, headers, walls, and all places not accessible to the roller, compact the material with approved tampers or compactors. Compact the aggregate using one of the following methods as specified: Compaction A. Operating spreading and hauling equipment over the full width of the travelway.

Compacting. Compact as specified in 401.03.03.
Compacting. Compact as specified in 401.03.03.F. Operate rollers in static mode only.
Compacting. Furnish at least three rollers, with at least one being a pneumatic-tire roller with skirts. Furnish one roller each for breakdown, intermediate, and finish rolling. Size the rollers to achieve the required results. Operate rollers according to the recommendation of the manufacturer. Do not use diesel fuel as a release agent with rollers used to compact asphalt concrete mix. Monitor the compaction process with nuclear density gauges calibrated to the control strip core density test results and compact according to Subsection 402.17(b). Take nuclear gauge density readings and cut and test core samples according to Table 402-3. Compact the asphalt concrete mix with alternate equipment to obtain the required compaction along forms, curbs, headers, walls, and other places inaccessible to rollers. 402.15. Delete the Subsection and substitute the following: 402.15 Joints, Trimming Edges, and Cleanup. Complete pavement construction of all traffic lanes and pull-offs to the same elevation within 24 hours. Do not exceed 3 inches of pavement depth differential between adjacent lanes of traffic, including intersecting roads, pull-offs, and parking areas which adjoin or are adjacent to the mainline, unless the differential is behind a lane closure. Make transverse joints vertical to the depth of the new pavement at connections to existing pavements and previously placed lifts. Form transverse joints by cutting back the previous run to expose the full-depth course. Apply an asphalt tack coat to the edge of both transverse and longitudinal joints according to Section 412. Place the asphalt concrete mix as continuously as possible. Do not pass rollers over an unprotected edge of freshly laid asphalt concrete mix. Dispose of material trimmed from the edges and other discarded asphalt concrete mix according to Subsection 211.02(a)(2). Do not allow track or skid steer equipment on the finished surface course.
