Communication of the Source Code Sample Clauses
The 'Communication of the Source Code' clause defines the obligations and procedures for providing access to or sharing the source code of a software product. Typically, this clause specifies when, how, and to whom the source code must be delivered, such as upon request, at the time of delivery, or under certain conditions like termination of the agreement. It may also outline acceptable formats, methods of transfer, and any confidentiality requirements. The core function of this clause is to ensure that parties entitled to the source code can obtain it in a clear and predictable manner, thereby supporting transparency, maintainability, and legal compliance.
Communication of the Source Code. If You Distribute the Software and/or Modifications as Object Code, You must:
(a) provide in addition a copy of the Source Code of the Software and/or Modifications to each recipient; or
(b) make the Source Code of the Software and/or Modifications freely accessible by reasonable means for anyone who possesses the Object Code or received the Software and/or Modifications from You, and inform recipients how to obtain a copy of the Source Code. Such information needs to be included at a minimum in the “NOTICE” file pursuant to Sec. 4.4 You are obliged to make the Source Code accessible in accordance with this Section for as long as You continue to Distribute the Software and/or Modifications and at a minimum for a three year period following Your last Distribution of the Software and/or Modifications.
Communication of the Source Code. If You Distribute the Software and/or Modifications as Object Code, You must:
(a) provide in addition a copy of the Source Code of the Software and/or Modifications to each recipient; or
(b) make the Source Code of the Software and/or Modifications freely accessible by reasonable means for anyone who possesses the Object Code or received the Software and/or Modifications from You, and inform recipients how to obtain a copy of the Source Code. Such information needs to be included at a minimum in the “NOTICE” file pursuant to Sec.
Communication of the Source Code. The Licensor may provide the Work either in its Source Code form, or as Executable Code. If the Work is provided as Executable Code, the Licensor provides in addition a machine-readable copy of the Source Code of the Work along with each copy of the Work that the Licensor distributes or indicates, in a notice following the copyright notice attached to the Work, a repository where the Source Code is easily and freely accessible for long as the Licensor continues to distribute and/or communicate the Work.
