Committees and Task Forces Clause Samples

The "Committees and Task Forces" clause establishes the authority and procedures for creating smaller groups within an organization to handle specific tasks or areas of responsibility. Typically, this clause outlines how such committees or task forces are formed, who can appoint members, and what powers or duties they possess. For example, a board may delegate certain projects or ongoing oversight to a committee, or form a temporary task force to address a particular issue. The core function of this clause is to provide a structured mechanism for delegating work and expertise, thereby improving organizational efficiency and focus.

Committees and Task Forces. OSPE Committees and Task Forces are struck by the Board to carry out several functions. While individual Ambassadors cannot set or change OSPE policies and programs, you can participate in committees to research issues and make policy or program recommendations. There are standing committees, whose members are comprised of elected Board Directors, and ad hoc committees and task forces, whose members are comprised of both Board Directors and Ambassador volunteers with subject matter expertise. The ad hoc committees address specific issues, usually relating to advocacy (as identified in our Policy Areas) or member services. Committee member positions are a two-year or three-year commitment and meetings are typically held every four to six weeks.
