The intent of continuous improvement is to encourage employees to contribute their ideas on ways of improving the efficiency of the processes in which they are involved. All ideas should be given prompt evaluation and if they are of advantage to the organisation they should be implemented either immediately or as soon as practicable.

B.7.2 Full consultation with affected Employees and the Workplace Consultative Committee will be utilised to facilitate work redesign and effect change with the objective of a more flexible, effective and efficient workforce.
B.7.3 Any change to individual job descriptions shall occur only after consultation

We reserve the right to anonymously track and report any Licensee activity inside of the QuaverEd resources using non-personally identifiable information (“Anonymous Technical Data”). We utilize this data to continually improve our services, balance server loads, and for other technical needs such as browser configuration or anticipation of challenges presented to licensed users by hardware, software or other manufacturers supplying services to the Licensee. Anonymous Technical Data consists only of non-identifying technical Service usage data and does not include any of your Confidential Information, personal information, content, communications, data subject to FERPA or COPPA, or your intellectual property (“Excluded Data”). Notwithstanding anything else in this Agreement or documents incorporated into it, QuaverEd will not process any Excluded Data to generate Anonymous Technical Data.

Commitment to Continuous Improvement. For over a decade the University has implemented a formal business improvement initiative, Process Simplification. This University-wide effort promotes process improvement through business redesign and change management. Significant accomplishments in administrative and student service areas have been achieved. Examples include the implementation of direct deposit, streamlining travel reimbursements, improving classified staff hiring, simplifying transcript issuance, and enhancing prospective undergraduate communications. Process Simplification supports the mission of the University of Virginia by creating and maintaining processes that offer unprecedented levels of service; enhance the quality of work life of faculty, staff, and students; empower employees to perform meaningful, productive work; and use technology and financial resources to their fullest advantage. Currently, Process Simplification is implementing a comprehensive plan for process improvement training and educational opportunities for employees and staff.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement. 3.4.1.1 Employees will be graded by management into a classification identified under the matrix.
3.4.1.2 Once classified, an employee shall have the right to contest any classification or level and present any information in support of the employee’s claim for re-classification, which shall be considered by management. Notwithstanding, the arguments presented by an employee shall not be used by that employee or other employees for the purposes of ratcheting the pay scale.
3.4.1.3 The parties recognise that in the course of continuous improvement, new technology and processes will be introduced.
3.4.1.4 Cochlear for its part, will ensure that such technology and processes will be optimised to meet operational needs.
3.4.1.5 The employees for their part, agree to recognise the need to adapt to such improvements in technology and processes.
