The Comfort Stops clause establishes the right for parties, typically in a travel or transportation context, to pause a journey for rest, refreshment, or restroom breaks. This clause outlines when and how such stops can be made, such as specifying intervals, duration, or locations where breaks are permitted. Its core function is to ensure the comfort and well-being of participants during extended travel, preventing discomfort or health issues that could arise from prolonged periods without a break.
Comfort Stops. There shall be a minimum of one (1) comfort stop of at least ten (10) minutes during each two (2) hours of travel. The first ten (10) minutes of such comfort stops shall be deemed part of the travel time. Time beyond the first ten (10) minutes, if any, shall not be deemed part of the travel time.
