COLLEGE AGREES. The Department of Residential Education and Housing agrees to furnish housing in the residential units under the terms and conditions stated herein and in the 2021-22 student handbook, The Citizen, the code of student life for St. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ College which is by reference made a part of this agreement.

COLLEGE AGREES. The Department of Residential Education and Housing agrees to furnish housing in the residential units under the
COLLEGE AGREES. A. To provide classroom instruction, to coordinate clinical experience, to ensure students are knowledgeable of all policies, procedures, and protocols of the College, and to assume overall responsibility for students throughout their classroom and clinical experience.
B. To provide students with education on blood-borne pathogens, infectious diseases, and the application of standard precautions, including the use of personal protective devices.
C. To establish policies and procedures to ensure each student completes a 10- panel drug screen prior to beginning their clinical experience.
D. To have immunization policies and procedures in place for faculty and/or students which address the following immunization standards:
1. Two-step TB skin testing done within the past year; or if a positive PPD history, a current negative chest x-ray report upon admission; then a TB skin test yearly after admission.
2. Hepatitis B series, or a positive Hepatitis B Surface Antibody titer, or a letter from the student’s physician stating need for exemption.
3. Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR vaccine) two doses or titers of all three diseases showing full immunity.
4. Chicken Pox (varicella) – proof of disease by physician documentation, or a positive titer, or two doses of varicella vaccine.
5. Seasonal influenza vaccine – annual proof of immunization prior to the conclusion of the first week of January classes.
E. The ▇▇▇▇▇ Administration announced the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency on May 11, 2023. In addition, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced it will withdraw the regulations in the interim final rule with comment (IFC) “Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination” published in the November 5, 2021 Federal Register. The State of Iowa does not have a standard requiring the COVID-19 vaccine or testing. Therefore, effective July 11, 2023 College will no longer take any action to determine the COVID-19 vaccination status of students who may complete a clinical or preceptorship at the Clinical Site.
F. To provide KFD with student names and field schedules at least one week in advance of the start date of the field rotation, unless the KFD elects to do its own scheduling of students, in which case the College’s responsibility will be limited to reviewing and communicating the schedule to the student.
G. To participate in continuous planning with the KFD regarding desired learning experiences for students.
