Cluster Study. An Interconnection Study evaluating one or more Interconnection Requests. Clustering – The process whereby a group of Interconnection Requests is studied together, instead of serially, for the purpose of conducting the System Impact Study. Commission – The Public Service Commission of South Carolina. Default – The failure of a breaching Party to cure its breach under the Interconnection Agreement.
Cluster Study. A process for studying a group of transmission service requests in the aggregate. A Cluster Study may be used for a System Impact Study, Facilities Study, environmental review, or other study or analysis that is necessary to determine system modifications needed to provide service.

Configured Nameplate Rating (CNP) – A operational rating that is the minimum of the Nameplate Rating and the Configured Active Power Rating of the DER unit or device. For Generating Facilities comprised of multiple units or devices, the aggregate Configured Nameplate Rating of the facility (aka Configured Facility Rating) shall be the sum of the individual Configured Nameplate Ratings for each device and may include capacity limiting or reducing interventions such as plant controllers, power limiters, or coincidence factors. Customer Load – The measured, calculated, or estimated customer load connected at the customer’s facility under the specified operating conditions. Customer load includes DER auxiliary load when a Generating Facility is also located at / electrically connected to the customer’s facility. Default – The failure of a breaching Party to cure its breach under the Interconnection Agreement.
