CLASSIFICATIONS & DEFINITIONS. (a) A “full-time employee” means an employee who is engaged for an indefinite period and who is regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 40 hours per week averaged over a two week pay period. (b) A “regular part-time employee” is an employee who is hired to fill a part- time position for an indefinite time and is scheduled in advance as required. Regular part-time employees will not be scheduled for more that 60 hours in any pay period. It is understood that regular part-time employees shall provide the Employer with their availability 90 days in advance, indicating a minimum availability of ten (10) shifts per month. The Employer shall advise the employee who has provided such availability with a minimum of fourteen (14) days written notice (through the posting of the schedule) as to whether they shall be scheduled on their stated available days. Employees shall accept shifts as scheduled in order to remain on the roster in accordance with the scheduling policy which may be amended from time to time, provided the local union is given reasonable prior notice of the amendment taking effect. Regular part-time employees will work one of every two weekends when required by the Employer, which will be included in their stated availability and shall constitute a portion of their obligation above. For certainty a Saturday and Sunday constitute a weekend. (c) Casual Employee (CE)
