Classification Series. A. Classifications shall be defined as follows:
Classification Series. The Board recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all classified employees holding positions in the following classification series: Custodial Maintenance Paraprofessionals Aides Transportation Mechanics Food Service Building Administrative Secretaries Security Groundskeepers
Classification Series. A grouping of job classifications that involve similar types of work. There are six (6) such groupings on the “Salary Range Chart.”
Classification Series. An employee may request reassignment to a lower classification within the series grouping, provided the employee is qualified and is more senior than the least senior employee in the lower classification. The determination of whether an employee is qualified to work in another classification will be made by the General Manager.
Classification Series. A series of related classifications with an entry level and one or more additional levels as defined in City Policy #320-01, Classification Series.
Classification Series. A classification series for specific classifications identified as difficult to fill at the level required was established for specified engineering and management analyst type positions. Specifically, the Department Director or Division Manager may hire an employee at a lower classification within the series and once specific pre-determined criteria and satisfactory performance are met, the incumbent may be reclassified to the next classification within the classification series with the recommendation of the Department Director or Division Manager and approval of the City Manager. The decision to reclassify a given position within the reclassification series is the absolute right of the City. These specified positions are not subject to the Administrative Regulation procedure for reclassifications.
Classification Series. A classification series is a group of classifications with similar duties of increasing complexity and responsibility which comprise the normal promotional progression within an occupation or discipline; for example: Maintenance Specialist 1, Maintenance Specialist 2, Maintenance Specialist 3; or Administrative Technician, Administrative Assistant, Administrative Analyst, Senior Administrative Analyst. The groupings set forth in Appendix D shall be considered the classification series.
