Class SMV Clause Samples
The 'Class SMV' clause defines the specific class or category of a vessel, vehicle, or asset as recognized by a relevant classification society or regulatory authority. In practice, this clause stipulates that the subject asset must meet certain standards or specifications, such as safety, construction, or operational requirements, to be classified under the designated class. This ensures that the asset is maintained to a recognized standard, thereby reducing risk and providing assurance to parties involved in the contract regarding the asset's condition and compliance.
