Class Size Overage Calculation. 6.1.3.1.1 If the total number of students exceeds 30 students per class per caseload (caseload maximum is defined as an average of 90 total students over two days assigned for all teaching sections on the overall schedule), the district will pay overages, except for PE & Band which uses the CBA for calculating overages. 6.1.3.1.2 If a unit member is teaching year-long classes, their caseload will not exceed 120 students per semester, otherwise, overages will apply. 6.1.3.1.3 Overages for band and music teachers will be determined by their schedule. If the total number of students seen per day exceeds an average of the total allowed for in Article 6.1.4.2, the District will pay overages.
