Common use of City Program Scope Reduction Clause in Contracts

City Program Scope Reduction. In order to preserve the Agreement and enable Contractor to continue to perform work albeit potentially on a reduced basis, the City shall have authority during the Term of the Agreement, without the execution of a Formal Amendment, to reduce scope, temporarily suspend the Agreement work, and/or convert the Term to month-to-month (Program Scope Reduction), by use of a written Revision to Program Budgets, executed by the Director of Health, or his or her designee, and Contractor. Contractor understands and agrees that the City’s right to effect a Program Scope Reduction is intended to serve a public purpose and to protect the public fisc and is not intended to cause harm to or penalize Contractor. Contractor provides City with a full and final release of all claims arising from a Program Scope Reduction. Contractor further agrees that it will not sue the City for damages arising directly or indirectly from a City Program Scope Reduction
