Cinema Validations. The BGC Garage currently provides patrons of the Sunrise Cinema 3 hours free parking pursuant to the County’s agreement with The Las Olas Riverfront. Consideration should be given to amend the LOR agreement to provide patrons 3 hours parking for a significantly below market rate of $2.00. Assuming the volume of cinema patrons remain constant at approximately 50,000 per year, the rate could potentially generate $100,000 per year in revenues for the County. As the $2.00 rate is significantly lower any area rate, we would not anticipate a significant drop in patronage. This revenue enhancement is not included in our 2011 Budget.
