Chlorine Dosing. A conventional vacuum liquid chlorine system was provided, with one 100% rated chlorinator. The chlorine was injected at the suction of the product water forwarding pumps, with a provision for chlorinating the degasser sump when required. The dose rate was controlled by flow proportional and feedback control, via a chlorine analyser. The plant was equipped with a variety of systems to facilitate membrane cleaning and chemical treatment.‌‌
