Common use of Charities Clause in Contracts

Charities. The parties agree that provision of charitable contribution and community support within the New England region serves a number of important goals. After the Effective Time, NEES intends to cause ▇▇▇ Surviving Entity to provide charitable contributions and community support within the New England region at annual levels substantially comparable to the annual level of charitable contributions and community support provided, directly or indirectly, by EUA and its public utility subsidiaries within the New England region during 1998.
