Changes in Classifications. When there is a significant change to the duties and responsibilities of any position or when the Union contends that an employee is incorrectly classified or a new classification is created in the scope of the agreement, the rate of pay shall be subject to negotiation between the Employer and the Union. If the parties are unable to agree on the rate of pay of the job in question, such dispute shall be submitted to grievance and arbitration. The new rate shall be retroactive to the date of submission in writing of the reclassification.
