Certified Notice. Notice of layoff shall be sent by certified mail and shall contain a statement of the reasons for layoff. If notice of layoff is less than the notice provided for in 25.§4.2, the reasons for the shorter notice shall also be provided. A copy of the notice shall be sent to the Chapter. 25.§4.3.1 When circumstances do not permit layoff notice as specified above, the faculty member shall receive pay in lieu of notice for the time remaining in the layoff notice period had notice been given as specified above.
