CERTIFICATES FOR PAYMENTS Sample Clauses
The "Certificates for Payments" clause establishes the process by which a designated party, often the architect or contract administrator, formally certifies the amount of payment due to the contractor for work completed. Typically, after the contractor submits a payment application, the certifier reviews the work performed and issues a certificate confirming the value of work done and authorizing payment. This clause ensures that payments are only made for verified and approved work, providing a structured mechanism for progress payments and protecting both parties from disputes over payment amounts.
