Common use of CBE Utilization Clause in Contracts

CBE Utilization. Developer, on its behalf and/or on behalf of its successors and assigns and approved by DHCD (if any), shall hire and contract with Certified Business Enterprises certified pursuant to the Small, Local and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Development and Assistance Act of 2005, as amended (the “Act”) (D.C. Law 16-33; D.C. Official Code § 2-218.01 et seq.) (each a “CBE”) in connection with the predevelopment and development phases of the Project, including, but not limited to, professional and technical services, construction management, and construction trade work, and suppliers.
