Casting Yard Clause Samples
The 'Casting Yard' clause defines the designated area where precast concrete elements or similar construction components are manufactured and stored before installation on site. Typically, this clause outlines the location, access requirements, and responsibilities for maintaining the casting yard, including safety, quality control, and storage protocols. Its core practical function is to ensure that all parties understand where and how off-site fabrication will occur, thereby facilitating efficient logistics, quality assurance, and compliance with project specifications.
Casting Yard. (1) The Authority may provide an area of land suitable for use as a casting yard /works area near to the site upon request by the Contractor.
(2) Should Contractor elect to use this site then the Contractor will have to remit an annual rent equivalent to an amount of 1% of the “Guidance Value” of the property for the period of occupancy of the area of land. The Contractor shall be responsible for clearing the site of all debris, vegetation and buildings, providing access into the site and providing any utilities or services which maybe required for the Contractor’ operations. In case the land cannot be handed over to the Contractor, the Contractor has to make his own arrangements for a casting yard/works area(s) and other facilities without any liability to the Authority.
(3) Contractor upon completion of the work shall clear of all debris, structures made by the Contractor, RCC footings and rafts, rubbish and debris, etc. and returned to its original condition before being handing back to the Authority, at no extra cost to the Authority.
(4) A Mechanical Type Washing Plant shall be installed by the Contractor for the use of all vehicles leaving the casting yard area to avoid any contamination or spillage on the connecting roads. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing access into the sites, clearing the sites of vegetation, removing unsuitable materials and placing disposal material with suitable compaction.
Casting Yard. The Contractor has to make his own arrangements for a casting yard/works area(s) and other facilities without any liability to the Employer.
Casting Yard. The Contractor shall make his own Arrangements for the Construction and Maintenance of Casting Yard required for the Work. The Quoted Rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of the Element of Cost towards the above.
