Cannibalization. Cannibalization is the practice of disassembling unserviceable FEPP to use serviceable parts on similar units. The removal of any parts other than minor items is cannibalization. It is permissible to strip components from one or more pieces of FEPP to create a usable apparatus subject to written approval of the USDA Forest Service through ODF. The process to strip and dispose of excess components must be completed within one year of written approval to cannibalize. The District/Department will notify ODF immediately after cannibalization is complete. ODF will dispose of remaining components through the USDA Forest Service and General Services Administration (GSA).
Cannibalization. LEAs may request cannibalization on aircraft or vehicles. Cannibalization requests shall be submitted to the State for review. Cannibalization must be approved by the LESO prior to any cannibalization actions. The cannibalized end item shall be returned to DLA Disp Svcs within the timeframes determined by the LESO.

In case of loss, theft, damaged, destroyed, or vandalized property, the Department is required to notify DNR within 48 hours of occurrence. Upon notification, DNR will submit appropriate documents to the Department for documentation, and to the US Forest Service for appropriate action.
Cannibalization. For purposes of this IA, cannibalization refers to the authorized removals of a specific assembly, subassembly, or part from one weapon system, system, support system, or equipment end-item for installation on another end-item to meet priority mission requirements with a requirement to replace the removed item.
Cannibalization. No vehicle shall be cannibalized for parts. No vehicle shall be repaired using parts taken from another vehicle without prior written approval of CapMetro.
Cannibalization. Cannibalizations shall follow the process outlined in the SOW and the applicable process map in Exhibit 1 of this IA.
