Common use of CANADIAN PIPELINE ADVISORY COUNCIL Clause in Contracts

CANADIAN PIPELINE ADVISORY COUNCIL. There shall be maintained throughout the term of this Agreement a Canadian Pipeline Advisory Council consisting of one representative of the Laborers International Union of North America; one representative of the International Union of Operating Engineers; one representative of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada; and one representative of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America, and an equal number of representative of the Association. The Council shall act whenever possible to settle matters of dispute which arise from time to time and any other matters concerning the harmonious relationships between the Parties hereto. ARTICLE LIABILITY The Pipe Line Contractors Association of Canada is acting merely as a Collective Bargaining Agent in the negotiation and execution of this Agreement, and in no event will the Association be bound as a principal or be liable in any manner for any breach of this Agreement by any individual Employer. It is further understood that no liability shall arise on the part of the International Union herein by reason of any unauthorized act by any employee of the said Employers or any Local Union or official thereof affiliated with the International Union unless and until such unauthorized act is brought to the attention of the International Union and a reasonable opportunity given to the Union to correct such act or ratify same. ARTICLE
