C Instrumentation. The Contractor shall provide instrumentation support for functional testing and evaluation of aircraft, aviation systems, missiles, weapon systems, and components conducted throughout RTC. The Contractor shall design, draw, fabricate, assemble, modify, transport, setup and inspect fixtures, instrumentation, and equipment to specifications and drawings as furnished by the Government. Setup includes installing and calibrating data acquisition equipment, recording test data, disassembling/storing equipment after testing is complete, and preparing expended test hardware for shipment or turn-in, IAW specified Government furnished procedures. Inspections shall include verification of proper parts selection, proper workmanship and assembly, and proper high reliability soldering techniques IAW American National Standard Institute (ANSI)/Electronic Industries Association (EIA) J-STD-001. The Contractor shall operate, assemble, disassemble, remove, calibrate, install and maintain instrumentation and other equipment on Government owned and contracted special test vehicles as required to meet test schedules. All instrumentation equipment shall be calibrated. The Contractor shall verify equipment capability and instrumentation credibility by connection and disconnection of transducers, feeding in known voltages or signals, shorting connections, attaching known resistances, or by using Government furnished checkout and calibration procedures. These procedures will be provided through facility SOPs, equipment and instrument manuals, test plans and other guidelines. The Contractor shall also recommend equipment and supplies for instrumentation engineering, oversight of instrumentation buildup and modification installation, troubleshooting of instrumentation systems, development of data definitions and verification of the correct data collection. The Contractor shall provide necessary cables, connectors, and materials required to support requirements as directed by the Government. The Contractor shall provide for the preservation and storage of test equipment, hardware, instrumentation and facilities including: application of cleaning techniques or compounds; preserving with paint or lubrication; packing/sealing and placing equipment in storage; the pickup, inspections, and removal of debris at conclusion of test; and preparation for new tests.
