Botanist Sample Clauses
Botanist. Identifies rare and sensitive plant species and their habitat and range of occurrence throughout gross project areas, using professional expertise to predict and locate probable populations. Maps results and provides reports suitable for inclusion in environmental documents. Works under general direction, using a requested geographic area for plant surveys. It is extremely important that work coincides with flowering periods of plants. Services may be needed in the Missoula and Kalispell areas.
Botanist. An undergraduate degree in botany, or equivalent education and experience. Local botanical identification skills, skills in taxonomic classification of both vascular and non-vascular plans of the Inland Northwest are required. Orienteering and photo interpretation skills preferred. At least 2 years of experience in preparing biological evaluations or assessments. Wildlife and/or Fisheries Biologist An undergraduate degree in wildlife or fish biology, or equivalent education and experience. At least 2 years of experience in preparing biological evaluations or assessments. Forester An undergraduate degree in forestry or natural resources management, or equivalent education and experience. Understanding of local forest types and the management techniques specific to them. At least 2 years of experience in preparing forest stand evaluations or assessments, and silvicultural prescriptions. GIS Specialist An undergraduate degree in computer science, geography, or equivalent education and experience. At least 2 years of experience in preparing geodatabases, maps; in analyzing line, polygon, and raster data sets.
Botanist. ▇▇▇▇▇ have a graduate degree in Botany, OR a graduate degree in Anthropology or Archaeology with a specialization in Archaeobotany. This person(s) shall have specialized academic background and a minimum of two (2) years full- time professional experience applying the theories, methods, and practices of botany or archaeobotany that enables professional judgments to be made about the identification, evaluation, documentation, and analysis of materials from the Pacific or Asia, as appropriate for the assignment, and have products and activities that demonstrate the successful application of acquired proficiencies in the discipline. This person(s) shall also have access to a comparative key library representing species from the Pacific and Asia.
