Borrow Management. Consultant will refine the borrow management design and identify locations of borrow sites with a characterization of the type of material available at each site. Borrow will include excavation within the reservoir area, excavation of the forebay and final grading of the area below the embankment. Foundation excavation for the embankment will also be included in this evaluation. The following tasks will be completed as part of this effort: • Development of staged construction figures for the embankment at 25-foot intervals from the bottom of the foundation excavation to the top of the embankment and calculate quantities for each lift for all materials that are required for the embankment. • Quantify the foundation excavation material and identify stockpile sites for the various types of material that will be excavated from the dam foundation. • Identify borrow sites and/or stockpiles that will be active during each lift for all materials required. • Establish approximate locations for haul roads to be used by equipment for each lift.
