Border Control Clause Samples
Border Control i. The PSF shall maintain border control as detailed in Annex X.
ii. The MF shall monitor and verify the maintenance of border control by the PSF.
Border Control. All domains must operate a firewall to restrict incoming and outgoing connections according to their security policy. Some Media Service Provider and Infrastructure domains will be restricted to outgoing initiated connections on Port 80 (HTTP) or Port 443 (HTTPS). The FLAME data plane API (see Section 6.5.4) is based on the HTTPS protocol, i.e., utilizing TLS (transport layer security).
Border Control. Passport control is designed to prevent the entry and exit of harmful individuals and to restrict entry only to those who qualify for permanent or temporary entrance rights. It is important to identify such persons uniquely so that eligibilities cannot be fraudulently assumed or transferred between persons (e.g. in the case of false passports, visas, stamps etc.) or liabilities (e.g. arrest or denial of entry) avoided. ABC systems assist border agencies to deal with large numbers of low-risk, bona fide passengers by checking identity and eligibilities/liabilities. ABC may also perform other non-border checks at the same time.
