Boom Failure. If the whole boom is broken, follow 2.2.2; If half of the boom is broken, secure the broken half to the board or the unbroken half of the boom; If the boom is intact on the in-going tack, sail to shore. If the boom is intact on the out-going tack, remove the half boom from the sail, and re-attach it on the in- going tack.
