Basic Unit Clause Samples

The "Basic Unit" clause defines the smallest divisible portion of goods or services that can be ordered, delivered, or invoiced under a contract. In practice, this clause specifies the minimum quantity or measurement—such as a single item, package, or hour—that transactions must adhere to, ensuring consistency in orders and billing. By establishing a clear standard for the smallest transaction unit, the clause helps prevent disputes over partial deliveries or ambiguous quantities, thereby promoting clarity and efficiency in contract performance.
